Shaft-mounted Clutch/brake

The LSCB-44 is a shaft-mounted clutch-brake that is suitable for repetitive stop/start conveying applications. This compact single-position unit uses the clutch disengagement springs as brake actuators.

The splined hub design of the unit ensures full brake torque to the system. Both clutching and braking components use the same piston, which eliminates simultaneous engagement. The clutch release springs also serve as the brake engagement force, and the brake automatically engages as the clutch releases for fast, dependable stopping and holding.
