Serial Eeprom Supporting Acr Sig

The 24LC09 serial EEPROM supporting the Advanced Communications Riser Special Interest Group (ACR SIG) specification is designed to provide the enumeration memory for next-generation PC audio modem riser cards.

A non-standard address allows computers to automatically detect and configure riser cards for industry-standard plug-and-play capability. The system bios of an ACR-compatible PC can communicate with the riser card, making it completely transparent to the computer's operating system. The device meets the ACR SIG Specification as a custom 8K I2C device with an address of 1011xxx, 2.5-5.5 V operating voltage, and -40° to +85°C industrial temperature range. The cards provide intelligent modem, audio, and network capabilities in a single card, eliminating the need for multiple cards and reducing system cost and space requirements.

Pricing is 45 cents each in quantities of 1,000.
