The Model RS rolling ring linear actuator assembly has an integrated linear scale. The precision motion control device is designed for high accuracy, PLC-controlled indexing, measuring, and positioning processes. It monitors both travel direction and linear position. Two resolution configurations are available for different application requirements. The assembly uses an offset quadrature output signal to the controller, enabling the system to derive not only linear position but also rotational direction, which makes a secondary translation module unnecessary.
