Record Revenue For Seventh Consecutive Year

Product licenses exceed 100,000 – 300 unique commercial projects

Sunnyvale, CA–Real-Time Innovations (RTI) announces record revenue for the seventh consecutive year. Over these years, RTI’s existing businesses achieved a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32 percent, with the company’s core middleware business exceeding 44 percent CAGR, despite the struggling economy.

New design wins for the flagship RTI Data Distribution Service middleware also set a record, resulting in more than 300 unique active commercial projects. Over 100,000 licenses have been sold.

New projects in 2008 included the world’s largest air traffic control manufacturer, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, satellite and ground stations, large-array telescopes, automotive safety systems, handheld situational awareness systems, financial trading, and critical intelligence applications.

Nearly every active U.S. surface ship program, and many foreign Navies, now rely on RTI middleware. International design wins were particularly strong, growing 80 percent over 2007.

With this performance, RTI continues to dominate the quickly-growing market for solutions that comply with the Object Management Group (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS) for Real-Time Systems standard.

“RTI is in an amazing position, especially considering the economy,” says RTI’s CEO Stan Schneider.

“The DDS standard has gained broad based adoption. From its original foothold in Naval systems, DDS, and RTI with it, is spreading to applications throughout the embedded and financial markets.”  Schneider continues.

“RTI expects to grow 30 percent in 2009, despite the headwinds. People choose DDS for its great flexibility and performance. They choose RTI’s implementation because it is the most robust, scalable and usable, and is backed by the industry’s best services and support team. Bottom line: RTI customers succeed. We make sure they do.”
