Pressure Sensors (12035)

New AST47SM Series pressure sensors are designed for harsh steel and aluminum industry applications. These sensors provide a direct plug-in for steel mill applications, including rolling mills, pumps, and coolant systems. Featuring a one-piece sensing element, the pressure sensors include no silicone oil, welds, or O-rings to eliminate the chance of contamination from outside media. A stainless steel housing welded to the sensing element and cable connection withstands system washdowns. A stress-reduced diaphragm withstands high-pressure spikes, while an internal restrictor maintains a high frequency response of 1 kHz. The devices are said to offer high proof and burst pressure ratings. Additional features include an operating temperature range of -40° to +85° C (-40° to +185° F) and an accuracy rate of less than۪.25 percent BFSL, with optional less than ۪.25 percent BFSL of FS with calibration data. The units are rated for more than 100 million pressure cycles and tout 100 Vm of EMI/RFI to guard against electrical noise. Options include pressure ranges up to 10,000 psi (700 bar) and various cable lengths and pressure ports. These include a 1/4-in. BSP male process connection and a 1/4-in. NPT. A 6-pin Bendix connection is available for direct integration into existing systems. AST47SM pressure sensors offer outputs of 10 mV/V (50 mV), 0 to 5 V (three- or four-wire), 0 to 10 V (three- or four-wire), 1 to 5 V, 1 to 6 V, 1 to 10 V, or 4 to 20 mA (loop) to address different application requirements.
