Precision Resistor Voltage Divider

Designed for aerospace, industrial, military, and medical industries, the SS1 Series SOT-23 packaged precision voltage divider network incorporates two ultra-stable Nichrome thin film resistors on silicon substrate connected in series. The divider network is designed to serves as an alternative to large resistor network packages that typically require long signal traces and complex circuit layouts. In a 3-lead SOT-23 package, the two resistors are connected in series to ensure an optimized voltage divider circuit. A 3-resistor network is also available in a four-leaded SOT-143 package. The SOT-23 divider network can be placed anywhere in a circuit layout, eliminating the need for long traces and complex routing schemes. The network is available in resistance nominal and ratio values ranging from 5 to 10 K?. Users can choose from standard ratio values such as 1:1, 1:4, and 1:10. Individual resistor tolerances are available to ۪.1 percent, and ratio tolerances are offered to ۪.05 percent. Standard TCRs are 䔽 ppm/°C, with tracking tolerances between resistors at least ۯ ppm/°C. Operating temperature range is -55° to +125°C. To ensure proper mechanical and environmental protection, SS1 Series resisters are built on 150 mm silicon wafers and assembled into standard SOT-23 transistor packages. A proprietary passivation process is used during production to overcome any issues concerning moisture-rich environments and the Nichrome elements. The units produced a less than 0.2 percent shift in resistance values during 1,000 hours of environmental testing at 85°C and 85 percent RH. Pricing for the series is less than $0.30 in quantities of 10,000 pieces, and lead time is typically eight weeks.
