Portable Power And Energy Meter

The MPE-2500 Universal Meter for Power and Energy is a universal, portable, dual-channel power and energy meter designed to measure lasers and other optical sources. The device interfaces with thermopile, pyroelectric, semiconductor, and temperature probes. In conjunction with the MPE-2500, the manufacturer offers a selection of 55 probes operating in a variety of modes. The MPE-2500 features a digital readout, analog bar, and dynamic graphs on a high-resolution backlit LCD screen. The unit also offers an SD card slot for logging stability data and a USB interface for remote virtual instrumentation via LabVIEW on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Users can choose a probe from 36 thermopile models, including a 600 W air-cooled version. Fifteen pyroelectric probes feature 12, 25, 50, 50, 75, and 100 mm-diameter receptors with various absorption coatings. The manufacturer also offers semiconductor probes for UV, visible, and near IR applications. Accessories include diffusers for high peak power lasers and fiber optic adapters. Additional features of the MPE-2500 include a backlit keypad for dark environments, dual battery option for extended remote operation (up to 24 continuous hours), simultaneous measurement of average power and individual pulse energy, and ambient temperature tracking.
