During the same time, more than 50,000 users registered with SolidWorks 3D ContentCentral to access an online directory of suppliers offering downloadable 3D parts models. Together, these services are said to help product developers make the right buying decisions quickly and easily.
3D PartStream.NET service lets product engineers configure and download product models to check compatibility with their designs. The service also powers 3D ContentCentral, which lets designers browse supplier catalogs and such product categories as tooling, power transmission, and pneumatics via the Internet (www.3dconentcentral) or directly from a menu option within SolidWorks software.
