Pid Temperature Controllers (11945)

The Series SD line of PID temperature controllers now features the Tru-Tune+ adaptive control algorithm, said to offer tight control for demanding temperature and process applications. The controllers are well suited for use in a variety of industries, such as plastics, packaging, life sciences, process, and semiconductor equipment manufacturing. To reduce scrap and rework, the controllers work to precisely fine-tune thermal loops and provide stable control through set point and load changes. These single-channel temperature controllers include a universal sensor input with up to three outputs, which can be programmed for heat or cool temperature control and process or deviation alarms. Additional features include EIA-485 Modbus serial communications and Infosense sensor technology, which is said to improve sensor accuracy by a minimum of 50 percent. The controllers also feature a user-definable menu system, which allows engineers to select the parameters that appear in the operations menu. A “save and restore” feature allows engineers to save their settings or the factory settings. Watview, the manufacturer’s Windows-based HMI software, can be used to set up, monitor, and edit the values of controller parameters; monitor and manage alarms; and log and graph process data. Available in 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN panel-mount sizes, the controllers have received UL, C-UL, CSA, and CE certifications and a NEMA 4X (IP65) seal.
