Photoelectric Sensor

Using technologies such as PSD (Position Sensitive Detector) and APR (Automatic Power Reinforcement), the PZ-V/M series of photoelectric sensors provides a detection stability that is described as unaffected by target color, surface reflectivity, angle, dirt, airborne dust, and harsh environments.

The series consists of 40 sensor models and includes four sensor types: Reflective with Auto Calibration, Reflective with Manual Calibration, Retro-Reflective with Manual Calibration, and ThruBeam with Manual Calibration. Each has a visible red beam that is intended to simplify positioning and setup. Once calibrated, the sensor should require no further adjustments during operation. It is designed to eliminate detection variations and operational instabilities inherent in conventional photoelectric sensors.

In operation, the PSD technology causes the spot to move as the target moves. APR circuitry automatically adjusts the amount of light emitted according to target color and angle. Built to withstand harsh environment, the sensor is IP-67 rated and can be used in environments where water or other liquids are present.

The indicator features a smoke-colored lens and a high-intensity LED to improve visibility from a distance, permitting users to monitor sensor operation from a remote location. Automatic calibration models feature one-touch calibration technology and include a digital display to confirm sensor settings.
