New Estane Tpu Products Increase Product Offering

Cleveland, OH and Sao Paulo, Brazil– The Lubrizol Corporation (NYSE: LZ), announces the introduction of Isoplast and Pellethane Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPUs) at the 2009 BrasilPlast tradeshow in Sao Paulo.

Lubrizol recently acquired the two new brands as a part of the TPU business asset purchase from The Dow Chemical Company. The new product additions to the Estane TPU product line span the continuum between elastomeric and rigid TPU properties.

The two key brands representing the business at the show are:

  • Pellethane–Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomers, used in a variety of high-value elastomer applications including footwear, medical tubing, automotive, film and industrial/engineering applications.
  • Isoplast—Engineering Thermoplastic Polyurethane Resins, used in a variety of niche, specialty applications that require the unique combination of high-end engineering plastic properties including clarity, impact strength and chemical resistance.
