Confero Solutions, a recently established start up company which is developing advanced precision sensing and motion solutions to serve the integrated motion control marketplace, is now operating in their new headquarters outside of Philadelphia.
Confero designs and builds custom precision sensing and motion systems for OEMs in the medical/pharmaceutical industry and others such as semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, machine tools and metrology.
“Our mission is to provide leading edge solutions in the fields of optical sensing, motion control and robotics, with highly engineered precision mechatronic and optotronic systems” says David Beatson, company president. “This is a very exciting time for us as we embark on our journey to become the world’s most innovative solutions provider for precision sensing and motion. Many medical OEM’s today do not have access to, nor can afford to maintain, the level of resources and technology that are required to custom design and build effective, complex systems to satisfy their customer’s requirements. In many situations, it is difficult for them to design or even locate all the necessary system and subsystem technologies let alone pull them together into advanced, automated solutions. That’s where we excel” explains Beatson.
“Confero is currently developing two innovative integrated motion systems which will satisfy the growing requirements for precision high speed motion systems in medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing and diagnostic/surgical automation. Additionally, in collaboration with several universities and affiliated companies, we are developing advanced solutions in the areas of integrated force sensing. Our solutions are at the forefront of the motion control and sensing industries. We are also rapidly expanding our infrastructure, in terms manufacturing and assembly,” said Beatson.
Confero, (Latin for “to bring or put together”), is comprised of technical solutions teams that include systems design and integration engineers, in addition to design, planning and development experts from a network of allied component manufacturers. Taking a multi-disciplinary approach, Confero teams custom design, assemble, test, install and support systems using pre-existing subsystems and/or emerging technologies, depending on customer application requirements.
The privately held Confero Solutions is headquartered in King of Prussia, PA in a new facility that includes complete engineering, prototyping, measurement, production and assembly capabilities, in addition to a warehouse.
