New York— (Business Wire) —McGraw-Hill Construction, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE:MHP) and Compu.tecture announces that the multitasking architectural database MADCAD will be available via McGraw-Hill Construction’s Internet portal, construction.com.
MADCAD provides architects, builders, contractors, government inspectors and educational institutions access to building codes via the Internet.
The MADCAD system currently includes the new International Building Code as well as 15 codebooks from each of the model building code providers (including the new International Building Code 2000) and codebooks from the National Fire Protection Association, and the federal guidelines for ADA and Fair Housing Accessibility. Compu.tecture has licenses to include 193 additional codebooks online.
“Instead of searching through dozens of printed reference books and thousands of pages of text, MADCAD provides a searching capability that makes it much easier for building industry professionals to find the code data they need,” says Norbert Young, president of McGraw-Hill Construction.
