
Mouser Adds C&D Converters
Mouser Electronics has announced the expansion of its C&D Technologies portfolio to include the UQQ Series "Quarter-Brick" DC/DC Converters.
According to the company, the ultra-wide 4:1 input range of converters supply up to 100 W of usable power. The UQQ converter series features:
An interleaved, synchronous-rectifier topology that exploits 100 percent of the duty cycle. A reduced component count. Low on-resistance FETs.Planar magnetics that are embedded in a heavy-copper PC. Both 9-36 V and 18-75 V inputs that deliver outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 or 24 V.A 1.45" x 2.30" x 0.43" footprint. Yokogawa and Maverick Announce Agreement with Chevron
Yokogawa and Maverick Technologies have announced that their joint alliance has been selected by Chevron as the main automation and control contractor for in a long term agreement. During this time frame, Chevron intends to strengthen operations and reliability at its eight wholly-owned refineries by standardizing and modernizing the process automation and control infrastructure, Yokogawa will provide its innovative control technologies and Maverick will provide the majority of the engineering, construction management and installation services through their YMAC alliance (Yokogawa Maverick Alliance for Chevron). The YMAC scope includes validation of design specifications, field instrumentation, Integrated Process Control and Safety Systems design and implementation, asset optimization and advanced applications.
Crystek Signs Distribution Agreement with Allied Electronics
Crystek Corp. has signed an agreement with Allied Electronics that names Allied as a distributor of Crystek's frequency control technology portfolio.Allied will carry a broad range of products from Crystek, including quartz crystals, clock oscillators, TCXOs, OCXOs, VCXOs and VCOs. The Crystek product line will be featured in the new Allied catalog scheduled to debut in October 2007.
LitePoint Accommodating Business Growth
LitePoint Corp., a provider of wireless test-system solutions, will be doubling its Silicon Valley facilities area. The new facility adjoins the current one and is expected to be ready for move in by mid-December according to Greg Ravenscroft, LitePoint's president of advanced development."Our revenues doubled from 2005 to 2006, and are on track to double, again, by the end of 2007. Eddie Narita Will Continue To Lead Parylene Japan Inc.
Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) recently completed its acquisition of Parylene Japan K.K. (PJKK). PJKK, a joint venture between SCS and Three Bond Co., Ltd., was established in 1990 to provide world-class Parylene conformal coating services and technologies in Japan. Sole ownership of PJKK enables SCS to leverage more of its worldwide resources and capabilities in order to provide the best service and support for its global customers.Specialty Coating Systems will do business in Japan as Parylene Japan Inc. (Nihon Parylene Kabushiki Gaisha in Japan) and will continue to be led by President Eddie Narita. The 10,000 square-foot Tokyo facility is ISO 9001:2000 certified and includes two Class 10K clean rooms.
