Cree Expands Solution Provider Network

Cree has announced that seven new value-added solution providers have joined the global Cree Solution Provider network.

  • The program, created in November 2007, now includes 21 leading LED solution providers.
  • Network members work closely with Cree to help ensure alignment of technologies. They are chosen based on their history of collaborating successfully with customers.
  • The latest additions to the Cree Solution Provider network include: Cooler Master, LEDIKO, LEDDynamics, Light Engine Limited, MetroSpec Technologies, Naotek and XLight.

AB Connectors Rebrands; Adds An ‘Inter’

AB Connectors Ltd has re-branded its U.S. operations to AB Interconnect Inc.

  • The new name will make bidding and approvals easier for the company, which had been trading from Smithfield, NC as AB Automotive.
  • AB Interconnect will continue to manufacture the ABBMS Bayonet range of connectors, such as ABCIRH and AB05, plus SBORD 102C, which are used in the rail and military sectors.
  • “The change in name gives customers a clearer reflection of what we do and demonstrates our position in the US connectors market,” says Steve Jones, sales and marketing manager at AB Interconnect.
  • The company is part of TT Electronics Plc.

OSRAM Opens Asian Regional Headquarters In Hong Kong

OSRAM recently held an opening ceremony for the new Asia regional headquarters of its subsidiary, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors..

  • Headed by Dr. Alfred Felder, CEO OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Asia, the new office will initially house staff to coordinate sales and marketing activities in Asia.
  • OSRAM Opto Semiconductors selected Hong Kong for its regional headquarters to be nearer to customers and partners in Asia, especially Greater China, Korea and Japan.
  • Regional OSRAM activities for other business units have been located in Hong Kong since 2006.
