FIT's Quality Management System is certified to AS9100 revision B standards.

Flex Interconnect Receives AS9100 Certification

Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT), a leader in design, manufacture and assembly of flexible printed circuits, has announced that its Quality Management System is certified to AS9100 revision B standards.

  • The AS9100 revision B is a standard developed by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).
  • The certification was granted after an intense audit by Intertek Systems, one of the most reputed Registrars of Aerospace standards.
  • FIT passed the audit with a perfect 100 percent score.

ON Semiconductor Corp. Completes Merger of AMIS Holdings

ON Semiconductor has announced that it has completed its acquisition of AMIS Holdings in a stock-for-stock merger.

  • Acquisition enhances ON Semiconductor’s analog and power leadership.
  • Combined company has cumulative last 12 months revenues of approximately $2.2 billion and EBITDA of more than $500 million.
  • Transaction expected to result in significant cost savings and improved free cash flow.

Semtech Announces Qualification Of First JANS Family

Semtech Corp. has announced the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) has qualified its power discrete family listed under performance specification sheet 420K.

  • It is the highest level of quality under MIL-PRF-19500, and qualifies the parts for use in military and commercial space applications.
  • The qualification covers rectifiers specified as JANS1N5550 through 1N5554.
  • The parts are produced in Semtech’s JANS certified Power Discretes and Assembly (PDA) Group facility located in Reynosa, Mexico.

ALGOR And SpaceClaim Partner To Create 3-D Design Solution For CAE Users

ALGOR, a provider of design, analysis and simulation software, and SpaceClaim, a 3-D design solution, have announced a new technology partnership today.

  • As part of ALGOR V21.1 and SpaceClaim Professional 2007+ (SP2), a fully integrated solution is now being offered by ALGOR and SpaceClaim — providing thousands of users with a complete design-to-analysis solution and a unique computer-aided engineering (CAE) workflow.
  • Users can control the CAE workflow regardless of the native CAD environment — reducing the amount of time that it takes to iterate through multiple CAE scenarios, according to the companies.
