Todd Hudson of the Maverick Institute will star the 2009 SMMA conference with his Lean Training presentation. |
The SMMA 2009 Spring Management Conference planning team has selected Todd Hudson of the Maverick Institute to begin the May 6-8, 2009 event with a presentation on “Lean Training—Trim Your Sails for Speedy Knowledge Transfer.”
In the stormy seas of this economy, companies are slashing training. But good knowledge transfer is more critical than ever. Post-layoff employees must 'skill up' to get the work done, new products need to roll out on schedule, and customer tolerance for mistakes is approaching zero.

Knowledge transfer expert Todd Hudson says this is the perfect time to 'retool' traditional training, which costs too much, takes too long and delivers way too little.
In his morning session at the SMMA Spring event, Hudson will introduce you to Lean Training, a methodology that transfers knowledge more effectively and at less cost. In his afternoon session, you'll get hands-on experience applying Lean Training principles, showing you how to retool your own company's training.
Todd Hudson hates waste. He has been improving the operations of large and small companies in car manufacturing, semiconductors, telecommunications, aerospace, construction and others for more than 25 years.
Todd is a long time Lean practitioner and Six Sigma black belt who created a think tank—the Maverick Institute—to transform the way organizations train, teach and share knowledge. The Maverick's practical, real-world knowledge transfer solutions are designed to achieve measurable business objectives. www.maverickinstitute.com.
