New 1,000 sq. ft. (20 ton) psychometric facility increases large unitary capacity by 30 percent.
Intertek recently unveiled a new 1,000 sq. ft. (20 ton) psychometric test facility at its 240,000 sq. ft. HVAC/R testing Center of Excellence in Cortland, NY. The new 20-ton expanded facility was designed to meet a need in the industry for faster turnaround times and reduced queue times for HVAC/R product performance and safety testing.
The psychometric test facility:
- Can accommodate 3- to 20-ton air conditioning and heat pump units.
- Is capable of measuring up to 9000 cfm.
- Provides fully automated data acquisition with simultaneous data collection and calculation.
