Hollow Shaft Right-angle Gearmotors

A new line of hollow shaft right-angle ac, dc, and bldc gearmotors is designed to optimize mountings, reduce assembly labor costs, and minimize the number of component parts required. Each gearmotor’s hollow output shaft can be connected to the driven load, eliminating the need for shaft couplings and bulky mounting hardware. This design alleviates alignment issues and eliminates maintenance inherent in chains and sprockets. With continuous output torques from 5.2 to 575 lb-in. and gear ratios from 5:1 to 3,600:1, the gearmotors offer output speeds from less than 1 rpm to more than 500 rpm. The hollow bore size depends on the gearmotor used, but it is typically from 1/2 to 1 in. Engineers can choose from gearmotors with left- or right-hand face or flange mounts to meet their specific application needs. The units are specified for a wide variety of applications, including conveyors, printing and packaging machinery, and medical equipment.
