High-speed Label Applicator

The Alpha V40 label applicator uses a reliable wipe-on method to apply pressure-sensitive labels gently but firmly at speeds up to 210 ft/min. The applicator automatically peels labels from a supply roll and applies them as they pass by on a conveyor line. The unit handles labels up to 4.72 in. wide by 98 in. long. Placement accuracy is 0.04 in., thanks in part to a powerful stepper motor.

The applicator can be oriented to place labels on the side, top, or bottom of products, and is available in both right- and left-hand configurations. To speed changeovers and avoid double or skipped labeling, an integrated controller stores up to 30 label settings. The versatile controller includes an LCD readout that indicates system status and other conditions. Options include different product sensors, an on-board label sensor, warning light array, and adjustable stand.
