High-resolution Lcd Modules

Two high-resolution LCD subsystems, dubbed Smart GUI modules, include their own microprocessor, graphics library, and LCD controller to help embedded system developers display more and greater complexity content per GUI page without burdening the host processor. In addition, the integration of elements in one package is said to cut by 95 percent the time it would take a designer to assemble and develop a comparable module.

Of the two versions, one has a half VGA-size, 5.4-in LCD with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution. It sells for $150. The other has a full VGA-size, 7.5-in. LCD with 680 x 480 pixel resolution, and sells for $250. These per unit prices are for purchases in production volumes of 10,000 units or more.
