High-performance Grip Chains

Thanks to their ability to provide differing levels of spring force, IWIS Grip Chains can gently grip a wide range of materials for precise positioning and conveyance. IWIS grip chains are built for reliable feeding, transporting, and positioning of thin packaging materials with large surface areas, such as soft foils and plastics. Nickel-plated clamping elements are standard. As they are able to resist wear and corrosion, these nickel-plated elements enhance the performance and service life of the grip chains in any packaging operation. Furthermore, IWIS grip chains include grippers with unique swivel action design. This design promotes accurate and consistent feeding of materials for transport. The grippers open by running against a control disc, such as a chain wheel hub, which causes them to swivel outside and out of the way. The grip chains include an initial lubrication, which has been approved for use in food-related applications. Users can choose between single- or double-row chains and grippers with one or two tips. However, customized options are available. These include special gripper designs, differing number of coils, and unique wire-spring diameters.
