Franchise Agreement

The Avnet Electronics Marketing business region of Avnet, Inc. will distribute Colibrys’ full line of motion sensors in North America.

This agreement teams Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a recognized industry expert in distribution, with Colibrys to expand Colibrys’ visibility and coverage in the Americas. North America represents a large market for harsh environment (energy, military and aerospace) and safety-critical (industrial and instrumentation) motion sensors, and Colibrys has been looking for the right distribution partner to complete its regional presence.

Colibrys’ standard MS7000, MS8000 and recently announced MS9000 and VS9000 products will be available immediately through Avnet Electronics Marketing.

“Colibrys has already established a strong customer base in North America for its leading-edge inertial accelerometers and vibration and seismic sensors. This new collaboration with Avnet allows Colibrys to accelerate access to major customers across various markets and to offer greater applications-specific support across all of North America. We look forward to building a very successful working relationship with Avnet over the coming years,” says Domenico Fumagalli, director Worldwide Distribution Network at Colibrys.

“Colibrys products are a great complement to our current motion sensor product portfolio. Their products are suitable for applications in high-end market segments including the military, aerospace, industrial and instrumentation markets,” says Bryan Brady, vice president, director Defense Aerospace Business Unit for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “We will now be able to offer our customers an extended range of measurement for multiple types of sensing in extremely harsh environments.”
