CosmosDesignStar 4.5 is a multi-CAD finite-element analysis tool designed to help engineers detect potential design problems quickly and correct them before beginning protoype production, saving companies the time and expense of post-production fixes. The software is associative with Autodesk Inventor Versions 8 and 9, Solid Edge Versions 15 and 16, and SolidWorks. It supports Catia Version 5 and accepts STEP and IGES files for such other CAD systems as Pro/Engineer. In addition to such basic design analysis capabilities as linear static and thermal, the software offers advanced capabilities including non-linear and fatigue analyses.
