Symscape recently released the latest SymLab v1.2 to support Linux as well as Windows. SymLab is a unified simulation environment that can be extended using add-ons into a complete CAE system for fluid flow analysis.
According to the company, the latest release of SymLab and its add-ons includes a number of new enhancements.
- SymLab allows users to arrange multiple geometry views alongside multiple plots with the software's new multi-pane window layout manager-users simply drag and drop windows within the main workspace area. Another new feature permits users to create real-time, color 3-D stereoscopic images for red-cyan glasses or StereoGraphics' CrystalEyes.
- SymLab Builder facilitates the creation of primitive shapes at multiple geometry centers using a single drag-and-drop operation. Users can align geometry entities with reference to a geometry center using this translation alignment tool.
- From a sequence of time-dependent geometry views or plots, SymLab Transient grants users the ability to generate AVI movies using a new movie recorder.
- SymLab Panel Flow incorporates an enhanced geometry accuracy feature to control the simulation resolution on unconnected geometry within a simulation.
- SymLab Professional includes the entire set of SymLab add-ons for a comprehensive fluid flow analysis tool.
