Eliminating Probe Problems

Suitable for dimensional gaging, factory automation, and similar position measurement applications, GHX Series LVDT gage heads feature probe shafts that retract out of the way during loading and unloading operations. However, they extend immediately when pressurized by air. This feature is intended to reduce damage to the probe during set-up and removal. Probe contact force remains constant, independent of position, and can be set by adjusting the air pressure with a low pressure-relieving regulator. Air outflow through the probe's bearings also stops dirt, dust, oil, solvents, or other contaminants from entering the unit.
