Digital-to-analog Audio Converter

The CS4350 is a complete stereo digital-to-analog converter designed for high audio quality and ease of design. It features an on-chip phase-locked-loop (PLL)-based master clock and delta sigma architecture that supports 24-bit resolution, up to 216 kHz sampling rates and 108 dB dynamic range. The PLL also eliminates the need for external master clock routing across the circuit board by locking to the incoming left-right clock signal, significantly reducing interference and clock-jitter sensitivity. Other features include automatic sample-rate detection and PopGuard technology to suppress clicks and pops often associated with power cycling. The unit supports all standard PCM audio interface formats as well as the TDM interface, which enables daisy chaining of up to four CS4350s to receive eight channels of digital audio on a single data stream. Single-ended or differential output architecture provides additional design flexibility.
