Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corp. and thermal and packaging solutions provider Advanced Thermal Solutions Inc. recently announced the signing of a global distribution agreement. With a focus on the thermal management of electronics, Advanced Thermal Solutions produces high-performance air- and liquid-cooling solutions, research-quality test and measurement equipment, and thermal design consulting and training.
As a result of the global distribution agreement, Digi-Key Corp. now stocks more than 380 of Advanced Thermal Solutions' heat sink products, including:
MaxiFLOW flared-fin heat sinks with maxiGRIP clips or thermal tape attachments.
Straight-fin and cross-cut extrusions.
Custom application-specific integrated circuit cooling solutions.
Heat sinks for various Freescale components, such as MPC8641D dual-core processors.
These products are featured in Digi-Key’s print and online catalogs and are available for purchase directly from Digi-Key. The terms of this new distribution agreement will enable Digi-Key to fulfill both the design and production quantity thermal management needs of its diverse customer base.
According to Digi-Key, the company is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing distributors of electronic components in the world. Not long ago, the company announced an agreement with Free2move to distribute its Bluetooth modules, as well as its widely used serial port plug adapter. Now Digi-Key ships products to customers in more than 140 countries.
“We are certain that Advanced Thermal Solutions' products will be of consequential interest and appeal to our customers, and we are very pleased to add this innovative company to our roster of supplier partners,” says Digi-Key President Mark Larson.
“Digi-Key is a natural partner for Advanced Thermal Solutions because we share a commitment to customer service and product value,” adds Kaveh Azar, president and CEO of Advanced Thermal Solutions Inc. “We are confident this distribution agreement will benefit our respective companies and customers.”
