Csa Approves Imi Sensors'' Electronic Vibration Switches For Hazardous Areas

The IMI Sensors Division of PCB Piezotronics recently received the Canadian Standards Association hazardous-area approval for the new Model 685B0001C14 electronic vibration switch. The certification includes Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C and D; and Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G.

This approval allows for the implementation of IMI Sensors' Series 685B dual-alarm electronic vibration switch into hazardous-rated environments for reliable continuous vibration monitoring and shutdown protection. The switch boasts of variable time delays, dual 10-amp form C relays and dual NPT openings for ease of installation. As on all standard models, the switch also features a 4- to 20-mA output proportional to the measurement range, as well as the raw vibration signal from the integral accelerometer for system diagnostics and spectrum analysis.
