Controller System Cabling

When system integrators or OEMs use a PLC for control, there are labor costs associated with wiring the system. As much as 75 percent of these costs can be attributed to wiring the PLC to the system side of the terminal blocks. Each wire must be stripped at both ends, routed in the cabinet, and terminated at the PLC and terminal blocks.

With Controller System Cabling, these labor costs can be reduced with terminal blocks replaced by a Varioface interface module.

The system includes three parts. First is a replacement cabling adapter that plugs on the PLC card and replaces the existing screw terminals. This termination is done via a flat ribbon cable adapter. Second is a cable assembly in various lengths. And, third is an interface module that can be a simple pin-to-pin design, a relay interface or sensor input, or a solution designed to meet specific application requirements.
