Contact Blocks

The Bulletin 800T and 800E self-monitoring contact blocks for improved E-Stop reliability in critical process control applications are engineered to prevent the potentially dangerous situation that can arise if standard normally closed contacts are separated from the E-Stop operator.

With standard normally closed contacts typically used on E-Stops, contact separation, resulting from faulty installation, damage, or excessive vibration would allow the controlled process to continue running. This contact separation would prevent the E-Stop from shutting down the controlled process in an emergency.

The blocks monitor installation to the E-Stop operator to help ensure that normally closed contacts will open when the E-Stop is actuated. And, if the unit is ever separated from the E-Stop operator for any reason, monitoring circuit will automatically open and shut down the controlled process.

An additional safety feature of the unit is its IPX2 finger-safe protection that allows users to access the wiring terminal but prevents them from coming into contact with the electrical current.
