Caged For Linear Accuracy

The Type SRS is a linear motion guide that features caged ball technology. The technology isolates each load-carrying re-circulating ball in the guide in an individual cage or pocket.

The cage prevents ball-to-ball contact and the associated friction. The cage also acts as a reservoir for lubricants, eliminating the need for an external lubricating system. The caged system can offer high-speed capabilities and improved positioning accuracy. It also decreases noise levels and reduces sources of contamination.

The long-term performance of the Type SRS is further enhanced through the use of stainless steel bearing construction as a rust preventative. The guide can be used for varying applications in any position because each row of balls is arranged at a 45-degree angle. As a result, the same load rating is applied to the bearing in all four directions (radial, reverse radial, and both lateral directions.)

Lightweight and compact, the Type SRS is suitable for installation in confined spaces. Eight models are available, including wide versions. THK America Inc., 200 E. Commerce Dr., Schaumburg, IL 60173. (800) 763-5459.
