Autovue 19.2 Provides Visualization Solutions Via EDA-centric Products

Cimmetry Systems has announced the immediate availability of AutoVue v.19.2. According to the company, release 19.2 solidifies Cimmetry’s presence in the electronics and high-tech market with new electronic design automation (EDA)-centric products to address the specific requirements of printed circuit board design and contract manufacturing customers. Several electronics and high-tech companies worked in close collaboration with Cimmetry to drive AutoVue’s EDA capability in release 19.2.

New AutoVue product offerings for the EDA marketplace include:

  • AutoVue EDA Professional. This software features native viewing, markup and secure real-time collaboration capabilities via the web for manufacturing documents, printed circuit board layouts, schematics and Office documents. The new supported formats consist of CADSTAR 8.0; Mentor Board Station 8.10; Altium Designer 6.0, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5; and more.
  • AutoVue Electro-Mechanical Professional. Cimmetry’s most complete solution, this software provides format support for EDA, 3D, 2D and Office document types in a single solution. It also bridges the gap between mechanical CAD and EDA, with unique electro-mechanical digital mockup capabilities.
AutoVue 19.2 also delivers enhancements and new format support, including AutoCAD 2008, SmartSketch 4.0 and 5.0, SolidEdge 19, Inventor 2008 and more. AutoVue 19.2 is available in both desktop and web editions.

“At Harris we work with a variety of high-level design tools, and require a way to view and collaborate on these documents, both internally and externally, with our customers and partners. Cimmetry understands our needs, and is working closely with our team to deliver an enterprise visualization solution that will serve the specific requirements of all companies involved in EDA,” explains Charlie Davies, principal electrical computer-aided engineering application engineer of Harris Corp. “AutoVue 19.2 is a major advancement for viewing, reviewing and collaborating on EDA files, and we are confident it will deliver significant improvements across our enterprise.”
