Adjustable Torque Limiters

Applications requiring equipment overload protection can benefit from the robust, new Steelbelt Torque Limiters. For example, the units can be used to protect conveyors, gate operators, overhead doors, bottling machines, steel processing equipment, packaging machines, and coolers. Steelbelt Torque Limiters can be used in tandem with most Joyce? Steelbelt Speed Reducers and are built to serve as an economical alternative to electronic limiters and external limiters. The mechanical Steelbelt Torque Limiter uses a slip clutch assembly in an oil bath. The clutch slips automatically to minimize downtime and reduce costly damage to equipment and machines. The clutch also allows the reducer to automatically return to normal operation after an obstruction is removed. Although torque limit is set at the factory, users can make adjustments to set limits specific to their applications. For example, limiters can be adjusted from zero inch pounds to 25 percent above the full torque rating. A two-year warranty is provided with all Steelbelt Torque Limiters.
