Delcam recently announced that the company has achieved their best ever half-year sales in the first six months of 2007. Sales to June 30 were $29 million, up almost 10 percent over the $26.4 million accrued in the first six months of last year.According to Delcam, the increase in sales sprouts from the company’s aggressive growth strategy: “For several years, we have aimed to build our company’s sales by diversifying outside our traditional market in the mold, tool and die sector. Recent acquisitions have helped increase our sales in the medical industry by allowing us to offer new solutions in SwissCAM with PartMaker and Orthopedics with Crispin,” says Delcam North America president Glenn McMinn.
“These new products have helped increase sales in new markets for us, along with the breadth of the Delcam software range. Together, our complete set of CAM programs, PowerMILL, FeatureCAM, PartMaker and ArtCAM, comprises the world’s most comprehensive collection of machining software, giving us an unrivaled ability to provide a solution to any company’s programming needs.”
Delcam reinforced their commitment to customers with a further increase in spending on research and development. The expenditure grew from $7.4 million in the first half of 2006 to $8.2 million in the opening six months of 2007.
