2d/3d Design Software

Inventor 11 includes an integrated set of design applications and 2D transition tools intended to help manufacturers move to 3D design. The software gives designers the freedom to integrate existing 2D designs into a 3D environment, making it easy to re-use and share both AutoCAD DWG files and 3D design data. Among the highlights of the new version is a functional design methodology. This concept allows designers to spend time designing rather than solving geometry modeling problems. The functional design capabilities enable the design of parts and assemblies based on real-world attributes such as speed, power, and material properties. The software also allows users create and validate routed systems, including tube, pipe, or wire harness designs. It automatically creates accurate bills of materials and complete manufacturing documentation.
