2009 3d Collaboration & Interoperability Conference

Longview Advisors, organizers of the annual 3D Collaboration & Interoperability Conference (CIC), will hold the 2009 event May 17-20 in Estes Park, CO.

Visit the conference web site: www.3dinterop.com to learn more, or to receive future updates about the event.

Now in its fifth year, the CIC is the only vendor-neutral conference in the world addressing collaboration and interoperability in CAD and manufacturing. The two-and-a-half day international event will give attendees a unique opportunity to interact, learn, and share experiences with many of the thought leaders from automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, electronics industries, along with representatives from government and defense communities.

“The CIC event has rapidly grown into an essential forum for engineering professionals, vendors, and managers,” explains David Prawel, president of Longview Advisors. “The dialogue at CIC has become a yearly barometer of the state of collaboration and interoperability issues, which have such a huge impact on PLM success and overall productivity across all sectors of manufacturing.”

John Clauson, CAD Manager at Indak Manufacturing Corporation and an attendee at the 2008 CIC, comments: “This conference gave me unique and valuable insights into the scope of interoperability problems we all face, as well as what my colleagues in the top shops are doing about it. I firmly believe that in years to come, this conference will contribute new methods and standards for managing our multi-CAD world. I'm so glad I participated."

"The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with people and also to better understand the technologies in the new products in an event not biased to a single vendor,” says Marco Cecchini, Product Development Engineering Manager, Embraer S.A.

"The CIC event was truly unique,” adds Dr. Mike Jahadi Senior Manager of CAD/CAM Integration & Strategic Planning Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, who also participated in the 2008 conference. “The atmosphere enabled us to have an opportunity to network, interact, learn and share experiences with my true peers. The content addressed issues that I am facing in my real-world responsibilities. In addition, I enjoyed the quality time that we were afforded with the vendors at their technology fair. We are definitely looking forward to next year's event and we expect more of our team to attend."
